Drive It Day
75th Anniversary :: 10.00 am Exeter Services
It's 75 years since the birth of the Jaguar Marque, and we aim to make an event of it!
Come
and join us in your Jaguar or Daimler on Sunday September 5th. Starting
from Exeter Services Truck Park, we'll drive at a sedate pace through
Exeter City Centre, then out to the A30. We'll travel along the A30,
then through Okehampton, arriving for a pub lunch at Betty Cottles Inn,
where we'll meet up with Tamar Region Club, which is doing a similar
drive from Plymouth. Cornwall Region Club is doing a similar run from
Truro and they will meet us at Betty Cottles.
Sample prices at Betty Cottles are Ploughman's from £6.95, Main Courses from £7.95, Puddings from £3.75. There is also a carvery at £9.00 The address is Betty Cottles, Tavistock Road, Okehampton, Devon EX20 4LR. Phone 01837 55339
JEC (National) are coordinating events such as this throughout the
country, with the aim of having a record number of Jaguars on the road
on this auspicious day.
We'll
have a photo taken of the cars, and hope to have a local dignitary
witness the count of cars taking part.
On the day, Devon Region will arrive at Exeter Motorway Services (Truck Park) from 10am, and we'll depart at 10.30. All Jaguar/Daimler drivers are welcome to attend. There will be a commemorative rally plaque for those booking on club night (25th at Bickleigh Mill) or by email by Friday 27th August . You don't have to book, just turn up at Exeter Services, but if you want your plaque, book as above.
